I seem to remember receiving a yoyo once or twice in my xmas stocking as a kid, so when I found this one it immediately struck me as a perfect stocking stuffer. It is definitely an old one, which someone many years ago painted red with silver star--to my eye just the exactly right painterly treatment for a yoyo! It still has its original string, which is quite a long one, so this would be a good one for practicing all sorts of yoyo tricks (walking the dog, etc!) Super.
Approxx 2 1/8" d x 1 1/4" w and in very good condition, with surface wear all to the good. Works great with many years of fun left in it and fits nicely in a pocket to carry around! (The weight and feel make me think wood, with several layers of this paint on it, but it could possibly be metal under the paint; either way, I'd guess 1920s-40s or so.)
