Gorgeous Old Wooden Printer's Tray

Regular price $80.00

This beautiful thing. I'm not quite sure how all it was used that yielded this incredible surface, but surely some combination of paper and ink and glue or varnish, all hardened now, not sticky, and just truly gorgeous. This is one of a number of objects I took away with me from a recent visit to the studio of well known Providence-based  Richard Fleischner, which I value all the more for it having spent at least several decades living in his world, and for what I at least perceive as its resonance with his work. I've included a few images of pieces of his work in photos.

24" x 12" x 3/4". Sturdy and stable, not sticky or shedding. I personally would treat it as a found sculpture and hang it straight on the wall, but it could certainly be used as a display or organizing tray of sorts.
