Full of Life Basket of Strawberries, Charming Naive Watercolor Drawing by Katie Eby, 1909, Pennsylvania

This is one of three watercolors by a young Katie Eby I purchased in PA from a great paper dealer (one sold last week and another listed today) who I believe told me as I was purchasing them that they came from the estate of the important American folk art collector and gallerist John Gordon. Nice to know--and really, what discerning eye would not fall in love with this very full of life basket strawberries?!  Signed proudly at the bottom. Another watercolor by her of a St. Bernard listed today was dated 1909, so I presume this one as well. 

12" x 9 1/8", good condition, a couple of pin holes and a little wear to corners as visible.
