SOLD Curious Frowning Face Brass (Leather? Cookie?) Press

Regular price $75.00

I don't know the story behind this guy and can't find his likeness out there; he looks to me like the one off creation of a skilled metalsmith, quite nicely done. He punches down when pressed, with enough force to cut through something of substance (and the edges of his raised features are sharp), so I am more inclined to think made for cutting leather or perhaps some type of clay or composition material than pressing into soft dough. Whatever the case, what a great face, and a great object, readily hung now from a nail on the wall. And though he is frowning, I find him very smile inducing!

4" t x 2 1/2" w x 2 5/8" d and in very good condition with a very nice patina to the brass.
