I don't typically buy and sell buttons, but I found this one a month or two in a shop from which I was also buying some extraordinary early embroidered trim, and just liked it--perhaps especially for the fable of the fox and crow it illustrates: a warning against being vulnerable to flattery, which seems particularly relevant these days--and especially apt communicated via a shiny object! Maybe the perfect if not so subtle gift for one's dear but too easily manipulated friend! Or good replacing the top button on one's favorite woolen cloak!
1" in diameter, very good condition, early 20th century I believe.
