I purchased this drawing from a seller in England, where (I had to look it up) Aston Villa is the name of one of the oldest and most successful football clubs in England. I just fell immediately in love with the red and blue uniforms (plus green for the goalie) and especially the stripes of their socks. Fun faces too. 1960s or so I believe (including based on the uniforms), watercolor on scrap cardboard from a manufacturer of "laminated road springs."
11 1/2" x 9". General wear with some light scattered stains and a rough patch to the surface of the cardboard at far right center (unpainted background), all of a piece with it.
