As I've written before, part of what I really love about these folk art wooden cutouts is how each one represents a variation on a theme, reflecting the particular skills and personality of its maker. I've had a few dogs in the shop similar to this one, but it is yet its own singular thing, with a bit of a homely face, one ear that is notably shorter than the other and a bright red drippy collar. Perhaps more loudly than any other I've had, this one definitely seems to cry out for love!
12" l x 13 1/8" t (measured on the square) x 3/4" thick and in very good vintage condition. The short ear seems like it might be a mistake original to it as it is rough but was painted over in black consistency with the rest. With an eye hook for hanging.
