I'm a huge fan of Acoma pueblo pottery, the painted decoration on which I find so striking, and was thrilled to find this bowl yesterday in Vermont - a lovely example, and an older one, earlyish 20th c. I believe. The dark brown, orange and white hand-painted design is repeated three times around, with graceful swooping brown lines outlining orange triangles against white in between. Wonderful patina, terrific presence, more beautiful in person.
4 1/8" in diameter x 2 3/4" t. No cracks or repairs. Paint loss/wear here and there are evident, and minor surface roughness around the lip and a few very minor surface chips.
