Two young lovelies, each with quite an elaborate hair do (especially the young woman at right), which makes the encirclement of their portraits in braided hair wreaths feel all the more apt-- and it is the pairing, twice over, that made me fall in love with this. The hair at left is very dark brown; at right a bit lighter, both appearing tight and held to the photographs via a tiny stitch or two through at the bottom of each. Framed as found, under glass, in what I believe is a late 19th c brass edged and backed standing frame.
5 7/8 x 3 1/2 framed. Very good condition. Found in New Hamphire.
