I found these two in Ohio and, certainly done by the same person long ago, it seems right that they should stay together--both I think so very good. Though I haven't taken them out of their frames, they appear to have been done on cardboard painted cream in a combination of watercolor and gold paint. Both with FLT (Friendship, Love and Truth) painted across the bottom, one features a hand raised above interlocking rings inside a gold outlined tent, the other an all seeing eye above three gold links. While there are all sorts of more common Odd Fellows artifacts out there, these are certainly singular creations, which to me both completely embody and also transcend the strange world of fraternal orders.
Sold as a pair, as found in matching gold painted wooden frames, each 9 3/4” x 7 3/4”. The "L" of the painting with the eye shows a small tear to the surface, which is floating around as a red painted bit inside the frame. Overall very good condition, earlyish 20th century I believe.
