I found this guy sitting side by side (though much taller than) the white cat I am also listing today, and neither would let me leave without them! This dog is as large or larger than life, and I have to guess based on a specific beloved companion, though I don;t know for sure; whatever the case, he feels very much to me like a great and loyal companion now, perpetually begging for a treat! Wonderful face, great studded collar, and charming white spots dappling the black ones. He sits on a well done, recently fabricated, unfussy custom steel stand, and would be equally good stilling on the floor looking up or seated closer to eye level. Wonderful.
18 1/2” tall x 12 7/8” wide (dog himself 11” w). Base is 3" deep; wood is 13/16” thick. Very good condition, perfectly aged, no losses or issues. It looks like maybe a touch up to the white paint just on his rear paws at some point. Is easily removed from, and placed back onto his stand. C. 1920s-40s.
