Such a fun one! Found in Maine, and the dealer I purchased it from had put a flickering flame shaped bulb in it as an added flourish, which I'll include if you like! And as fabulous as these two bathing suit clad ladies with matching shoes are, I have to say my favorite thing about it is their hand-painted faces, especially that of the Betty Page-esque woman at left--perfectly awkward. It appears to me that they were carved and then augmented with some sort of composition material, giving some added texture to the surface. The whole thing was constructed of three pieces of wood--two pieces on the face and then a third piece across the back. Someone then screwed a couple of cabinet handles to the back bottom as spacer/bumpers, which work well but are easily removed. Works great and certainly well suited for mood lighting; surely these two have seen some things!
16 5/8" t x 11 7/8" w x 5 7/8" d at socket. Very good condition with a great presence; there is a bit of surface splitting to the wood but not as issue as the layer behind is in very solid shape. Sturdy and with no issues.
