So excellent. I do tend to look at old cigarette cards when I come across them, but I'd never seen a palmistry set before, and I think they're the best set ever made! C. 1930s, produced for Carreras Ltd. "High Class Cigarettes," whose factory was located at Arcadia Works in Camden, London. Cigarette cards originated in the late 19th century as unprinted cardboard "stiffeners" inserted into paper cigarette packets, but quickly morphed into highly collectible advertisements for the brands, with themed series of a far-ranging variety of subjects produced. Here the back of each wonderfully graphic card details the aspect of the palm diagrammed, with the whole set providing quite a comprehensive guide to palm reading.
Each card 2 3/4" x 1 5/8". Complete set of fifty in excellent condition.
