Another thing I'm always looking at is 19th c. transferware child's cups, and at this point have become pretty familiar with a wide variety of them, mostly Staffordshire, but others too. I've never seen one quite like this, though, which is extra small, and extra good I think, with this transferware lamb running forever in place, animated by bold swipes of blue and yellow paint, creating a horizon line of sorts with sky above and ground below, plus gilded rims framing it from above and below. Charming and unusual and quite special feeling.
Earlyish 19th c. I would think. 1 1/2" t x 2" diameter at handle, 1 3/4" d the other way. Very good condition, no chips, cracks or issues.
