I've found just a few "signal disks" of this sort over the years and think they're such excellent things I'll always scoop them up--and this is an especially great example, dating to WWI and jam packed with information. On one side a variety of signal/code flags and pennants and what they signify, with three windows for running through them on rotating disks and testing oneself as to their meanings. On the reverse, a guide to two arm semaphore positions with two windows, and storm and weather signals below. Should AI take down the internet, seems this all might come in handy, and just a beautifully designed, graphically satisfying thing in all regards.
