I am not certain if this pheasant is resting, nesting, or on its way to being plucked, but I really love the treatment the artist gave to its splendid plumage and talons, imparting the bird with a pretty regal attitude in the process. I might hang this one near a good reading chair, as it seems to encourage claiming one's space and doing just what one wants.
Approx 10" tall x 15" wide. Minor folds to bottom corners, otherwise very good condition. Signed Silova Olga and dated 1930.
