Just a terrific looking old bucket I think, in old blue paint with red and gold for the excellent "Sturdibilt" logo. I've searched a bunch online and can find no other like it. I did find a few Sturdilt tackle boxes, bait boxes, and a couple of smaller minnow (bait) buckets with different graphics, 1920s-50s--which makes me think the company was mostly focused on fishing supplies. In any case, a great looking and ever useful thing (including, say, for bailing water out of the fishing boat, or filling with wildflowers) with a nice turned wooden handle for carrying.
9" in diameter x 7 7/16" t not including handle. Good condition, to my eye beautifully aged, with a little paint loss on the logo, general wear to the blue and general rusting, a one ding around the lip. Sturdy, with no holes in the metal.
