I've become quite a fan of late 19th century punch paper embroideries, especially ones combining text and image, of which there are quite a wide (and sometimes wonderfully weird) variety. I like the delicacy of the tiny stitches on this one, not well conveyed in photos, and the sprawling vines growing out from the heart with cross above. The subtlety of the pale pink text also makes it feel as if just whispering its message of endurance.
