Early 20th C. Alphabet Sewing Cards

Regular price $80.00

Maybe Milton Bradley, maybe some other company producing learning materials for kindergarten, I'm not sure as I have not turned up another set of alphabet sewing/lacing cards like these, which I believe likely date to the 1920s or. Whatever the case, I'll never resist a good alphabet, and love the color of the thread used on these, and the combination of the capital and lower case letters, and the way Us and Vs and W's are partially lost, and the XYZs entirely, as if language itself was falling apart, or trailing off into silence. Good pinned up, or framed up, in a grid or one long line.

6 1/4" x 4 3/8" each. Good condition, with general toning and wear, and loss of thread on the lower case "g" and last card as evident.
