I really can't decide which side of this one I like better. This is the third of three by Edgar S. Yergason that I found together, who signed and dated the back off one of them in 1859. A quick search reveals that Yergason went on to fight in the Civil War, and to become a well known interior designer in Hartford, CT. I think he showed brilliance at a very young age, giving great life to this ship and train both, and especially, I think, the sea! My photos aren't great but It should be noted that the graphite on these drawings is a bit faint and so they very much reward close looking.
