This is the time of year I want to buy pottery, as one needs all sorts of vessels to house all sorts of flowers just plucked from the yard! And I think one can never have too many weed pots, good on their own or grouped in clusters. This hand-thrown one, with some impressed texture to the surface, also has a bit of a lumpiness to the form, deliberate or accidental I'm not sure, but which I really love. Slip glazed showing a sort of mustardy brown, with the brown sports all over from the body of the clay. Signed M on the underside, a mark that looks familiar, but I'm not placing it.
3 3/4" t x 3 3/4" widest diameter. Great condition, no flaws.
