It's June as I post this--the time of the year when I want cut flowers in every room--and this pitcher is 100% perfect for a big bunch of peonies, or wildflowers, or really most anything. The drippy green glazing, a mix of shiny and matte, gives both a softness and a pop to anything in it, and it takes zero flower arranging skills to make it work! Also plenty large for a healthy pitcher of sangria or margaritas!
Made by Royal Winton Grimwades, England, c. 1930s-50s I believe. In very good condition and with a really nice weight. There is a little crazing to the shiny areas of glaze and one small black ink mark which I have not tried to remove but it might scrub away. 8 1/2" tall x 8 3/8" across at handle, 6" d.
