In my dream home, I have wall to wall, floor to ceiling built-in shelving with a big section dedicated to nothing but interesting little pottery vases like this one (kind of like good rocks--satisfying on their own; even better grouped.) This one is by Don Curreri (1930-2014), a well known Woburn, MA based potter and ceramic sculptor. Showing a strong Japanese influence, it has an irregularly faceted form and drippy blue and black glazing, marbleizing in areas as it responds to the form. Great all the way around.
Very good condition, and signed on the bottom. 3 7/8" tall x 3 1/2" wide; 1" across at opening.
