I've really fallen in love with these old wooden Czechoslovakian "ramp walker" figures, which were made to resemble a variety of animals and human figures. This one I am pretty sure is meant to be a penguin, and I believe dates from the 1930s. I especially love the long plug nose and the painted flipper-arms at his sides, and place him on a slight incline with a little push and he's a great little walker!
4 1/2" tall x 1 7/8" wide and deep. It appears as if one of his feet may have been glue back in place at some point, but he's in overall very good condition, with light cracking of the paint visible on arms and white belly and a few scuff marks here and there.
