I just found three of these lovely old cut paper weavings, listed individually, and think they must have been done by a very dexterous and meticulous school girl, or perhaps her teacher, as they are quite finely crafted. This and one other are a combination of black and cream, with a third that is burgundy and silver. As I list them right next to a gridded mandala painting, it occurs to me how deeply embedded is our tendency toward linear organization!
The paper weaving is neatly mounted on a piece of cream colored lightweight cardstock type paper. Overall: 9 1/8" x 9 1/8". Weaving itself: 4 3/4" x 4 3/4". Excellent condition.
