Curious and Wonderful 1970s Signed Canadian Enamelware Dish

This smallish handmade enamelware, dated 1979 and signed "Eren" Canada on the back, was surely based on an image of Native Canadian kayaker in parka and seal skin kayak with fishing spear held overhead. But what a wonderfully naive sort of treatment, with the figure looking part ghost, part Michelin man, and, with perfect "o" of an open mouth,  perhaps expressing surprise, or else fierce determination. For me it winds up feeling rather transcendent and rather existential.

5" x 5" and in excellent condition, with a piece of protective felt on the underside.
