Crazy Old Welded Iron Folk Art Cabin!

Regular price $185.00

This thing weighs a ton and its existence defies all practical logic, but of course this is much of what makes me really love it! I have to think its maker took great pleasure in its construction, using lines of weld to represent logs, and dots and dabs for the stone chimney, and then iron rods for the columns of the front porch. I found one smaller example out there dated late 19th/early 20th century and would guess this one is not much off the latter, and quite more involved! Completely indestructible, it could be used to stop the most heavy and massive of doors, but seems to me it might be the perfect thing to place inside of or just in front of a decorative fireplace, or on the mantle of a real one.

9 3/4” x 8 3/4” x 8 1/4” t. Weighs 21 pounds! Good condition, with some surface rusting, but not shedding, all to the good. Photos do not do this justice!
