This crazy thing. I couldn't resist it, and since cicadas are symbols of personal renewal and transformation, surely a giant cicada must emit powerful positive energy! The body was hand-carved, and the legs appear to be cast brass, connected to the body by small posts aided by glue, which is visible in spots. Seems to me this one would make a pretty unforgettable gift, especially for someone in a period of transition!
10 3/8" long; 6 1/2" across at legs; body measures 2 3/4" wide; 2 3/4" tall. Carving is in great shape; some nice greening to the legs in spots, with glue sometimes visible where they connect to the body as noted.
