I believe the hand-written text at upper left of this drawing reads "coiffure de opium Perle"--meaning opium pearl hairstyle--and indeed it is the combination of lace and pearls on her head, cross on ribbon chocker at her neck, and those wing-like lace shoulders that really sold me on this. Very early 20th century I would think and clearly French, with a face to match. A fun one to hang near the vanity I would say!
15" x 12" framed, as found. Drawing itself measures 4 1/2" x 3 1/8". Both frame and drawing in very good condition, wired on the back for hanging.
