This one I found in a shop in Nashville sitting next to a folk art cribbage board I also purchased (and since sold) and I might guess they were made by the same person though I am not certain. So many different reasons to like whimsies and so many different sorts of whimsies to like….this large and chunky one is a far cry from expertly done, but I like it for that, including for leaning a bit like the tower of Pisa from one side. One has the sense its maker was trying, and working hard, which always makes for winning in my book!
6 3/4 t x 1 11/16 w + d. Hard to get scale from photos but it feels substantial in size. Very good condition, no chips or splits or cracks but plenty of irregularities original to its making. Original varnish finish.
