I'm a real sucker for antique British transfer decorated childsware of many sorts and just couldn't leave this one behind; I love the sense of human-animal companionship here, both in their winter coats, and think the face on this child so good. And of course I love the manner of the lettering on the ABC--while a bit curious for the absence of a D (for dog!). Mid 19th c. I believe, with raised alphabet border.
5 13/16" d. General wear and aging, but no notable chips or cracks. Unmarked.
