Cheerfully Awkward Vase of Flowers at Window, Vintage Painting on Canvas

This one made me smile when I found it, and continues to make me happy every time I look at it. I love the awkward pile up of flowers in their vase, the composition of which seems specifically designed to accommodate the branch of the tree glimpsed through the window; I am guessing the tree was painted first, and our artist was pretty pleased with it, so did not want to obsure a single limb! The framing of the yellow curtains, and the precarious perch of the vase on the edge of the table, really do it for me too. 

16” x 12”, oil on stretched canvas and in very good condition.
