A wonderful little naive painting, oil on what looks like early masonite to me, housed in this old frame with fantastic warm patina that makes the whole thing feel marvelously warm and cozy. I always love a painting centered around a path leading all the way from the foreground into the distance, as if it might go on forever. Perfect palette too.
Framed, as found: 11 1/16" x 8 3/4". Painting: 7 1/2" x 5". It looks like something at some point nibbled away at the bottom right edge of the frame but personally it doesn't bother me a bit (it's a winter painting after all!)
