This charming, not so small hand-carved bench seems very much one of a kind to me, I'd think late 1960s or early 70s, perhaps inspired by the style of Creative Playthings toys and similar, which it feels like a folk version of to me. I believe it was carved of just two pieces of wood--the arched back piece being one, and the front and legs the second. Painted/polychomed black, green, and red, plus yellow for the arms, which reads pretty much like blonde wood. Carve marks all over, some paint drips here and there, and just the right amount of wear. Super!
8 1/4" l x 5 1/4" t x 3 3/8" d, super sturdy and sound.
