Perhaps this carving once came at the end of a carved whimsy chain, or maybe it was made as a door knocker. I think it would be pretty great used as the latter, or as a hanger for a couple of belts or scarves, or necklaces. But also great hung on the wall just as it is--pretty fun!
7 1/2" long x 3" wide x 1 3/8" deep and in very good condition. The wood has probably darkened a bit and is rough in spots; this nature of the carving leans more toward rustic than super refined.
