Early 1900s Scrapbook Page with Great Red House Drawing and More

Regular price $28.00

The poem "Winter in Old Fishkill" cut and pasted onto this old scrapbook page makes me pretty sure that's where it originated, and I found it in Hudson, so it never travelled far. It's the drawing of the red house with marvelous snake of smoke coming from the chimney that won me--signed C.B., so maybe the "Ray" is labelling it as Ray's house. Nice to have the date written on the little drawing above it, too--perhaps of an oil lamp? And then a hat and a red barn, too. And on reverse, perhaps the photograph shows the home of the scrapbook keeper?

10” x 7 7/8”; house drawing itself is 3 1/8” x 3 3/16”.  Tears and wear to the backing paper as evident, but not especially fragile.
