There is just something so satisfying about colors arranged into neat grids, and even better that the color come from dyed silk threads wrapped tightly around cardboard strips with corresponding numbers! This folding cardboard sample card, featuring some 300 colors or so, was produced by the Warehouse Point Silk Co. (1893-1944) of East Windsor, CT, which succeeded the Leonard Silk Co. (1875-1893). I believe it dates to early in Warehouse Point's operation, as it closely resembles similar cards produced by Leonard Silk Co. toward the end of its operation. To my eye just a super thing to enjoy looking it, but also seems like it could be quite a useful one for color reference and inspiration.
Closed: 7 5/16” x 5 13/16”. Open 14 3/4 x 5 3/4”. Very very good condition, with light wear to covers and spine, and just a couple of loose threads. Stands up on its own.
