I really love the manner in which this woman's face was painted, to my eye imparting her with a great sense of warmth and beauty, and made even better by the fabric framing her face, creating a fantastic play of stripes and angles. I'd guess the hooks were meant to hold keys or such, but they do easily screw out should one want to rid this piece of function.
Some fraying to the thin fabric, so this is a bit delicate, but in solid shape structurally, with a loop at top for hanging. 1920s-40s or so I would guess. 6 1/2" t x 4 1/8" wide.
