Bench and Chair, Charming c.1940s-50s Handmade Tabletop Furniture

This fabulous bench and chair came from a larger set clearly all made by the same person, c. 1940s/50s or so I'd guess, but it seemed to me they were better appreciated divided up a bit, each piece a charmer individually but getting lost a bit amid the trove, so, I've organized into a few groups.  The bench is my very favorite and I think made all the better in conversation with this chair, the arched back and verticals of which bring out the diagonal cuts in the back of the bench all the more. Love. 

Bench 5 7/8" l x 3 1/8" t x 1 3/4" d. Chair approx 3" t x 2" w x 2" d. Sold as a pair, both in very good vintage condition, with lightly varnished finish.
