I see a lot of rusty old iron chains in my neck of the woods, but have become quite enamored of ones that have eroded so much they have become quite delicate looking things. Perhaps this one was underwater, as the way it has deteriorated makes it seem as if lapped by the waves for many years. I’d hang it one the wall from a nail with the ends hanging down in a good spot to cast great shadows too.
45 inches long x approximately 3/4” w, sound and stable and not shedding.
