This sweet little stool feels to me quite Shaker-esque in its sensibilities, and was beautifully constructed, with the stretchers running between the legs in both directions hand-carved to fit just right, which makes it quite a sturdy one too. Terrific proportions, hand-forged iron nails joining the legs to the top, which have bled a little in a very nice way, and tiny tiny nails where the stretchers meet the legs. Wonderful dry wood patina, and to my eye really the perfect stool to use as a pedestal for a few favorite objects. Lovely.
11 1/8" l x 6" d x 5 3/4" and in beautiful antique condition, super sturdy and sound.
