Quite a good one to add to the curated rock pile or set on the desk or carry around in one's pocket. I believe the incised eight legged creature is based on ancient Nazca Lines--a group of geoglyphs created between 500 BC and 500 AD in the soil of the Nazca Desert in southern Peru. This came from the estate of a collector who travelled extensively in Central and South America and I'm guessing picked it up as a souvenir of sorts somewhere--not ancient, but quite beautiful, and it does feel as if imbued with special powers.
2 11/16 x 1 7/8 x 1 1/4 and just the right size to hold in one's palm.
