I really love this tin--for the juicy white paint drip down one side but especially for sliding lid on the top, which was carefully hand-cut and slides in beautifully executed tight grooves on either side. I don' think I've ever seen another like this, and the reason for this sort of lid is lost on me, but I'm very glad it exists. Very satisfying.
4 7/8” t x 4 5/16” w x 2 3/4” d and in very good antique condition, 19th c. I believe, with a beautiful patina to the tin. Lid slides smoothly, all the way out, and is easy to slide back in again.
