Beautiful Old Mounted Photograph of Girl Showing Off Her Lace

I love everything about this photograph, which I would guess was taken on the occasion of this wonderful looking girl's First Communion. It looks to me that the (most certainly handmade) lace she is showing off is her veil, draped from the back of her head over the back of her chair, as she must be resting her hand on the chair's corner. What a face, what a wonderfully awkward gesture (look at the placement of her feet), and just perfect the way she she rests her other hand on her skirt. For me just marvelously human and tender and true and really beautiful.

Mounted on card, which, along with the right edge of the photo, was somewhat unevenly trimmed. Card: 5 1/2" x 4 1/8". Photograph: 4 1/8" x 3 3/4". Very good condition.
