Beautiful Old Color Cubes Set in Custom Box

Another set of old Color Cubes, because I fall in love with them anew every time I see them, and because I think everyone should have a set--or many! These are early ones, clear from the depth of the color, especially those almost black blues, and from the softening around the edges from many years of use. At some point someone made a custom box base for these, which functions excellently as a frame for displaying them, holding them together tightly. A luxuriously large set of 81 blocks, as beautiful as they get.

Box measures 10 3/8" x 10 3/8. Cubes measure 1 1/16" cubed. Great, perfectly aged and used condition. The original box top is still with them, but torn into two halves.
