A beauty of an antique 12 sided geometric pin cushion; I can't even imagine how one had the patience to make this one! The structure underneath the fabric feels to be card/board, and then each of the twelve panels appear to have been hand-stitched together, with stick pins placed over each seam probably for a mix of reinforcement and decorative effect. I just love it as an object, with this mix of solid and striped and plaid fabrics amplifying its geometry. I'd treat it as a small sculpture rather than put it to use, and really think it deserves as pedestal!
1 5/8" t x 1 7/8" w and in very good condition. Very minor wear showing on a few sides (shot at 2-3 x magnification), but really in excellent, bright and crisp shape.
