Such a fun one--a vintage Japanese artist mannequin which someone--perhaps very much longing for a plastic superhero action figure--brilliantly altered along the way to turn into Robin (I believe), boy wonder side kick to Batman. How much better than an action figure though, being so readily able to assume such a wide array of postures! I love the slightly strange shape/position of the red abdomen, too, with legs attached right at the front of it, which has the effect of lending an extra sense of torque to his poses. Pretty great.
11 1/2" tall, 2nd half 20th c. I believe, and in very good condition.
