Art Nouveau Watercolor Postcard--Young Woman with Web of Hearts

Regular price $28.00

I am not 100% sure, but it appears the head and arms of the young woman at the center of this postcard MAY have been printed, with the sender then having dreamed up and watercolor painted the rest--casting Miss Edith (the recipient of the card) as a diva of sorts, catching hearts in her web and holding them by their "strings." I'd certainly imagine the heart of the sender--Eugene, from St. Louis, who signed it (in tiny lettering) and sent it in 1909--was among them!

Approx 3 1/2" x 5 1/2". Good condition, with black printed postal lines visible on the front left side.
