This tall (or long) whimsy I believe is pretty old, but I love how much it reads like a modern sculpture, almost like a mini Donald Judd! It stands up vertically on its own like a tower, but is also great on its side.
There is some variation in the size and shape of the "balls"--a couple of then more ovular than round--and it seems that a couple of the shelves or walls separating them might have been repaired at some point (it's hard to tell--one can see cuts along the walls on the middle ones, but they're perfectly situated and tight, so perhaps just original to the making.) There is a bit of old green paint in a couple of spots, and I definitely did some dusting off on this one, which I believe is carved of pine, and definitely shows a good amount of age.
10 5/8" long x 1 1/4" wide and deep. Overall good condition, and structurally very sound.
