One could put a whole lot of bread in this old bread box--which I of course love for the combination of very matter of factly stenciled "BREAD" against green paint, which points to a different sort of bread! (Rather than under the mattress, perhaps the perfect not so stealthy hiding place for stashing one's life savings!) A great merger of industrial and homespun in feeling, maybe from a camp or prison or military kitchen?
11 1/4" t x 9 1/8" wide and deep. Excellent structural condition, with to my eye a perfectly aged/scratched up surface.
